hey!

I've been messing around with Decker for a month or two now, and this is my first time uploading something I've made with it. it's not much, but it's been fun taking the things I'm learning and using them in a project! the Professor Layton puzzle game series has a very special place in my heart, and it made me really happy to do something simple about this thing that I love.

thanks to the Decker community for being so awesome and wonderfully helpful! I hope you enjoy this.

all characters mentioned belong to Level-5 Inc. backgrounds are ripped from the game files, thanks to DearestHershel on Tumblr, redblueyellow and CreativelyNamedUser at the Spriter's Resource. the zazz animations were done by staring at my DSi screen for a very long time <3

recommended listening: About Town on loop. it's a short game, haha

edit 2/27/25: minor font adjustment, added download for unlocked deck (roast my code lol)

I'm a game developer myself, and lately I've been considering Decker for my next project. I'm using Godot at the moment, but for small, simple 2d games, I think Decker would do fine.

Hey, this is super charming and really nice work.

I was able to get to the credits page by using the navigation keys but I'm not sure if there is a "proper" way of getting there since I think I clicked on everything, am I missing something?

thank you so much!! your zines are wonderful, btw!

there's something clickable on the floor, as well as the lamp on the desk and the sticky notes next to the window! I've had a few friends run it and the floor gets missed the most, lol. I may have made the button a little small. do you know of a way to block card navigation with the arrow keys? I'm not gonna remove it from here but for future projects perhaps

(+3)

Oh yeah to block navigation you can just add this to the deck level script, to overwrite the default handler

on navigate do
end
